Jo was trained at High Wycombe Art School; she then spent ten years as a graphics designer, initially with the artist Victor Elford. Her detailed landscapes reflect her love of the countryside, especially the woods, fields and hedgerows of her native Chiltern Hills. Jo's paintings range in size from miniatures to a mural. She usually works in acrylics, with an occasional watercolour.

Jo is a member of the Hilliard Society of Miniaturists and of the National Acrylic Painters Association. She has received a Master's Award at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London and a Rosebowl at the Society of Miniaturists Christmas Exhibition. She has also exhibited at the Mall and the Westminster Galleries in London and at the Royal Birmingham Society.

Jo also publishes a series of greetings cards showing local scenes, and she created a winning design for the 1996 ICRF Christmas Card competition.

Her paintings hang in many homes around the World.
